Jesus’ Grace Is Enough (Proverbs 29:11)

“A fool vents all his feelings. But a wise man holds them back.” (Proverbs 29:11.)
When we get offended, or even standing up for the truth, we usually become explosive in our tone of voice and unleash it on the person who offended us. 
We justify our anger and see it right because we think the cause is righteous. 
We easily justify our wrong actions when we feel that we should stand up for it. 
We always blame the other person who provoked us to give full vent of our anger. 
The need to release offense and to stand up for something, can feel so right, yet it can be executed all wrong. 
What is truly happening is that we get pressured and provoked by the sinful spirits of arrogance, anger and offense to let us loose it and offend others and at the same time make us sin. 
We must pay attention that there is a way that seems right to us but leads to sin and death. 
We must know that in order to go the right way, we cannot permit feelings of the flesh to hinder us from hearing God’s voice and obey His words and commandments. 
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, commanded us to not resist an evil person, but whoever slaps us on our right cheek, turn the other to him also.
He said to not repay anyone evil for evil and do not take revenge, because it is His to avenge and repay. 
He also said that we must not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. 
In every situation we are facing we must discern the spirit behind it and reject it asking for God’s wisdom and grace to overcome it. 
Jesus’ grace is always enough to equip us with wisdom, empowering and enabling us to reject all the sneaky and tempting feelings that draw us into the pit of sin. 
We must repent of all the sins we have done intentionally and unintentionally. 
Amen.
