Today's Prayer.

A Prayer Asking Jesus For His Protection.

Jesus,

I come to You today, bowing in my heart, asking You to have mercy on me. 
I confess that I am assailed moment by moment with images on TV, the social media, 
books, and even newspapers that leave me vulnerable to sin of every kind. 
Lord, I want to please Your heart and be Your holy temple, 
but the devil’s evil temptations surrounds me and follows me wherever I go. 
Please, Lord, surround me with Your divine hedge of protection. 
Encompass me round about with Your overcoming power and strength 
to defeat all the lustful and sinful desires in me. 
Let me remember to put on the plate of righteousness to be protected from 
all sinful spirits that attack me.
Lord, I ask that You protect my mind from accepting any sinful thought. 
St. Paul said that the mindset on the flesh is death, but the mindset on the Holy Spirit 
is life and peace. 

Please, Jesus, help me to set my mind on You. 
Help me in the Holy Spirit not be conformed to this world, 
but be transformed by the renewing of my mind that I may prove 
what Your will is, that which is good and perfect. 
Help me Lord, by the power of Your spirit to think on whatever is true, 
whatever honorable, and whatever is pure.
Dress me in Your armor so that I can stand firm against 
all the schemes of the evil one. 
Please, Lord, I need You to grant me Your overcoming power over sin 
because my struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against 
the world forces of his darkness and against the spiritual forces of wickedness 
in the heavenly places. 
Please, Lord protect me from all evil and keep my soul. 
In Jesus’ name, I pray. 
Amen.
