Today's Devotional.

God’s Love For Us Is Real (1John 4:7-9)

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; 
and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, 
that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, 
that we might live through Him.”
(1John 4:7-9.)

Love is the essence of God the Father. 
When there is God, there is love. 
Love is the full identification of His being. 
We read in the Gospel, that God the Father loves us. 
We trust in the word of God and we know that this is true. 
But to experience the love of God personally is something else. 
God revealed to us His love by sending His Word, His only begotten Son, 
Jesus Christ, to our world so that each one of us have a real 
and practical experience of His love.  

He saw us tortured by the bondage of sin and the fear of death. 
He came to defeat the devil, our enemy, confronting all his evil spirits 
that he fights us with, on the cross, and He defeated Him. 
He defeated the devil’s death by His resurrection and He gave us His power 
and authority over sin and death in His name.  
Now we can experience the love of God deep inside us. 
When we accept and receive Him in the Holy Spirit, He pours His love 
into our hearts and we get to experience His love deeply, intimately and profoundly. 
Our inner eyes get enlightened and we receive His eternal life and wisdom. 
Even our bodies when carrying His love and get filled with it,  
we get transformed to be His temple, 
His indwelling place. 
It pushes aside all the fear that we were enslaved with. 

When we experience God’s love we find healing from all the evil spirits of fear, 
confusion, lust, depression, anxiety, and sickness. 
When we go to preach His name, people see His love in us. 
They feel His presence in us, His powerful authority in every word we speak, 
and they see that God’s love is real. 
Amen.
