Today's Devotional

The LORD of hosts is with us (Psalm 46:10-11)

“Be still, and know that I am God; 
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! 
The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.” (Psalm 46:10-11.)

Reciting these words fill us with hope. 
They hold so much profound power. 
They give us hope to embrace that no matter what is happening around us, God is our refuge and strength. 
They remind us to be still which means to trust in God and to surrender to Him, knowing that He is the Almighty God. 
He can do the impossible. 
He can order things that do not exist to exist. 
Be still and know that He is our creator who knows the number of hairs on our heads. 
He knitted us in our mothers’ wombs. 
So we must lay our weaknesses, confusion, and pain under His feet.  
The day we submitted our lives to Him He became in control. 
The moment we took the decision to surrender everything we have to Him, He became responsible for our protection. 
The worry and anxiety are gone and we have hope in our Lord. 
He is our rock and refuge. 
This sense of tranquility and hope is the real comfort that God has promised to give to all who believe and trust in Him.
