Today's Prayer.

A Prayer to walk in obedience to Jesus.

Dear Lord,

You said that my body is the temple of Your Holy Spirit. 
My body is not mine but it is Yours because I was bought at a price.  
So I must glorify You in my body and in my spirit, which are Yours. 
You gave me the grace of having Your Holy Spirit to dwell in me. 

Please forgive all my sins that separate me from You and hinder Your presence in me. 
Please give me a new heart and a new spirit put within me. 
Remove the heart of stone from my flesh and give me a heart full of love
and compassion like Yours.

 Please Lord, give me the strength in the Holy Spirit to walk in Your statutes 
and obey Your word and commands. 
Give rest for my weary struggles. 
Give me the courage and conviction to obey You. 
Heal my wounds and the sense of guilt that weigh me down.  
Give me wisdom as I follow You and walk in Your ways. 
I desire to be increasingly conformed to Your image. 
Drive me away from my own foolish plans and be more dependent on You. 

I trust You, O Lord, to do abundantly more than I could ever ask or think. 
May I be so committed to You and Your ways that I walk differently in the world. 
In Jesus’ name, I pray, 
Amen.
