Jesus Will Never Forsake Those Who Believe In Him (Hebrews 2: 3-8)
“How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him.
God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
For He has not put the world to come, of which we speak, in subjection to angels.
But one testified in a certain place, saying: “What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him?
You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor.
And set him over the works of Your hands.
You have put all things in subjection under his feet.”
(Hebrews 2: 3-8.)
The miracles of Jesus are called signs by St. Paul
in order to emphasize the significance of the miracles rather than the miracles themselves.
They revealed the glory of Christ and His power.
Jesus loves man His creation.
He came to our world, took our body, and God made Him lower than the angels
because He cares of us and want to save us from the devil’s grip of sin and death.
He came to comfort those who are sad and in pain, to heal the sick, to raise the dead
and to give life and light to all those who believe in Him and receive Him in the Holy Spirit.
His purpose to perform miracles was to encourage faith in His followers, and to tell them
“I am with you and will never forsake you.”
Whenever we are facing something fearful and horrible in our lives,
we must trust in His miraculous power to change the situation.
At these times of trouble and trial we must abide in Jesus and take Him at His word;
He says that all things work out for good to those who love Him
and are submitted to His purpose in their lives.
Pray with trust and confidence in God’s abundant love and His unlimited power and ability
to do something in our situations that our minds can’t even grasp or never thought possible.
We must not let our prayers be just words uttered out of our mouths,
but let it be filled with that kind of faith that moves the mountains.
ree ourselves from all things that entangle our thoughts and lean into our prayer life.
Pray every time and anytime.
We must surrender ourselves and our thoughts to His sovereign plan,
trusting Him to do what is best for us and leaning on His everlasting arms
in order to see all the impossible in our lives be changed and become possible.
Amen.
