Today's Devotional.

Blessed Be The Father God Of Mercies And All Comfort (2Corinthians 1:3-5)

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies 
and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, 
that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, 
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, 
so our consolation also abounds through Christ.” 
(2Corinthians 1:3-5.)
 
God’s mercies are new everyday and His love never comes to an end. 
His Holy Spirit surrounds us in times of stress and distress. 
He is the promise keeper and all His promises are true and trustworthy. 
He promised to reward all those who obey His commands 
with His eternal life and love. 
He promised to give us His peace which is not like the world gives. 
As a loving, caring Father, He desires for us to bring our burdens 
and anxieties to Him and He will comfort us. 

He asked us not to fear in time of tribulation because He overcame the world. 
When we unite with Him in the Holy Spirit we will have His power over sin and death.  
In time of suffering and difficulties we have to focus our thoughts 
on the blessings we have in Him. 
We praise His name with thanksgiving. 
Think all the time of how gracious and compassionate the Lord was with us. 
When we do this we will not only receive God’s comfort and peace 
but also be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, 
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 
Amen.
