You Are Not Forsaken
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;”
(Isaiah 49:15-16.)
We sometimes take wrong decisions or make bad choices and we feel trapped with no way to go backward or forward.
Or maybe it was thrust on us by unwanted circumstances and we feel that we have fallen into the pit and cannot get out of it, and must reap the consequences.
At those moments the first thing that comes to our minds is that all these troubles are signs that the Lord had forsaken us.
The devil starts whispering into our ears that our Lord has forgotten us and that other people do not have all the problems that we have and it is unfair.
We automatically stand accusing God that he has forsaken us and we loose faith in Him.
Sisters and brothers, we must remind ourselves that the troubles we face are the devil’s works.
He tempted us with ideas and according to his influences we took the wrong decisions.
Yes, it is our fault that we gave up our minds, thoughts, and feelings to Him.
Jesus said that the devil is the one who came to steel, destroy, and slaughter us.
He is a liar and the father of lies.
So when we face troubles and tribulations we swiftly run to our Lord and Savior and He will save us.
He is a good God who loves us and came to free us from all the devil’s bonds.
He overcame all his evil spirits on the cross and gave us His authority to overcome him.
Jesus said that we will face troubles in this world, but we must be assured that He overcame the world.
He can change all the bad circumstances and works of the devil to our goodness.
When we go to Him and ask for forgiveness and help, He answers us.
Father God will never forsake us.
He is waiting for us to open the door of our hearts for Him to enter.
When we ask Him anything that is in His will, He will answer.
We must not forget that we are inscribed on the palms of His hands.
Amen.
