Today's Prayer 

A Prayer For Thanking Jesus For Sending His Holy Spirit To Us

Dear Lord,

Thank you that You sent Your Holy Spirit, the comforter, to dwell in us. 
You said I will not leave you orphans. 
Although I may feel alone at times, I’m not really alone because You are with me. 
I know that this feeling is a lie from the devil. 
You said that You will be with me and to the end of the ages.  
I trust in You Lord, because heaven and earth will pass away, but Your words will by no means pass away. 
I can feel Your presence and the joy of Your grace within me. 
You love me, and I am content. Help me to overcome these battles in my mind and give me strength in self-discipline so that I grow in You as I read Your Word and spend time in prayer each day. 
Help me to not feel sorry for myself but instead to reach out to others in Your name.
My needs are met in you alone- So please Lord, help me to help others to know You, You the loving God and rest in Your peace and love. 
In Jesus’ name, I pray. 
Amen.
