Today's Prayer

A Prayer To Be Filled With The Fruit Of The Spirit

Dear Lord,
Help me today, through the power of Your Holy spirit, to be in Your image and likeness.
I surrender to the control of the Holy Spirit rather than the control of my own flesh’s desires in order to exhibit all the fruits of Your Holy Spirit’s empowered traits. 
Help me to be kind, gentle, patient, and full of love and life like You Lord.  
Help me not to fall back into my old self, which does not reflect You. 
Please make me a new person reflecting Your patience, peace, love, and all the attributes of Your character.  
Help me Lord, to abide in You and in You alone. 
May I truly be a new creation. 
I received You Lord, within me in the Holy Spirit, I do feel You within me. 
I have no excuse not to let You appear and be shown in everything I do or any word I say. 
Help me not to hold the stick in the middle, one hour I am showing You in me and another I am showing the world with its wisdom and deeds. 
I am tired of this. 
I want to focus on You and You alone.
May You be honored through my obedience and surrender to You, and may all people around me see that I display the fruit of Your Holy Spirit. 
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
