Today's Prayer

A Prayer to Count on God’s Presence

Dear Jesus,
Thank You for Your salvation plan.
You came to free me from the grip of sin and give me Your life.
Sometimes I still feel chained to fear and worries when I focus on my situation and the world around me rather than on You.
I still feel afraid when I face tough trials in my life.
Sometimes Satan succeeds to overwhelm me with his dark and fearful thoughts.
I still get discouraged as I face the uncertainties of life, wearying temptations, or scary attacks from him.
Help me Lord to remember I am not alone in my battle.
You have commanded me to be strong and take courage in You.
Remind me to count on Your presence wherever I go, and rely on the power and provision of Your presence in my times of deepest need.
Teach me to throw all my anxieties into Your loving hands.
I can come to You with confidence, giving You all my cares, knowing that You love me.
As I cast my cares on You, You will sustain me with Your love.
Do not allow my faith and confidence in You to be shaken.
Thank you for being my Lord and Savior.
Amen.
