Today's Prayer
A Prayer Asking For God's Peace

Gracious God,
I lift up my heart to You, asking to grant me peace and remind me that You are with me throughout my day. 
As the noise and demands build, causing me to feel stretched thin, please help me find moments to savor and soak in Your word. 
You said, who drinks from Your Spirit, will never thirst and will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
I pray for a special blessing of peace that can be tucked within my day. 
I pray that You meet me there in that stillness and quiet, allowing me to feel the warmth of Your presence. 
Touch my heart in the way i need most, reminding me that You will never forsake me.   
Please lead and guide me to listen to Your voice and obey your commandments.  
Help me to be slow to anger and even slower to speak, picking my words wisely. 
Give me the capacity to make my home a safe and welcoming place to harbor love and compassion. 
Amen.
