Today's Prayer

Prayer for Families’ Bond Restoration

Dear Lord,

I come to You in prayer asking Your power to restore the bonds that have been broken with some of my family members at church.

You asked us to be united with You and love each other with the same love that You have loved us.

I know, Lord, that this would never happen unless we receive You in us in the Holy Spirit.

When I think about how great Your love is for us, I think about how much You have forgiven us.

Jesus, when I think about how deep and wide and vast Your love is for us, I see what You had done for us on the cross to give us the power to defeat every spirit of division.

Please Lord forgive our sins and have mercy on us.

Cover us with Your precious blood for forgiveness.

Help us, Jesus, to love like You do and lead our relationships with forgiveness because I believe Your way is the Only Way to love.

We all, as members of Your body, must open our hearts to let You indwell in us in order to be able to love each other.

Unfortunately, not all of us know this truth and some of us live their lives according to the desires of the flesh.

They believe in the wisdom of this world and never lean on You, who are the source of wisdom.

Forgive us Lord and have mercy on us.

Lord, I know there is nothing You would want more than feuding members to reconcile with each other.

But we also admit, Lord, that we cannot do this on our own.

For that reason, I come to You now asking Your Holy Spirit to come and surround us with Your love.

May we be filled to the brim with love, that it may overflow and we may share it with our family members.

Allow me to be an instrument of Your blessings to them.

In due time, Lord, let our relationships also be restored.

Guard our hearts and forgive our sins and let us feel the blessing and grace of being united with You and with each other.

Please Lord, enlighten our minds and release all the bondages of our spirits to obey Your commands freely and we choose with our own free will to forgive each other and love each other.

All these I pray in Your almighty and precious name.

Amen.
