Prayer Asking Jesus To Heal Us From Fear

Dear Jesus,

I confess that every time the devil throws fearful thoughts to my mind, I accept them and feel very weak to overcome them.

The evil spirit of fear always defeats me.

Lord, please help me in the Holy Spirit to reject the devil’s fearful lies.

I do not want to be weighed down by this false fear.

Lord, I know that because of your perfect love and all-powerful control, I do not need to worry about today or fear anything the future might hold.

But the world can be such a struggle.

Between the people I care about and my own inner and surrounding battles, there is always something competing for my care and concern.

It easily becomes more than I can handle, and right now, I need You.

I need confidence in Your truths.

I know You love me and each of Your children more than I could possibly imagine.

And I know that You have all things in your powerful hands.

This means I have nothing to worry about now and nothing to fear for all of my tomorrows.

But Lord, my mind gets blocked when the devil attacks me and I do forget even to say loud all Your promises that I read every day in the Gospel.

I want to be strong and bold when I fight these battles.

Please Lord, strengthen me in the Holy Spirit and remind me to stand firm and reject all the fearful thoughts.

Remind me that You will never forsake me and that my name is imprinted in Your palm.

The devil will never snatch me from Your powerful hands.

If You are with me who can be against me.

I thank You for loving me and saving me, Lord.

I will rest in Your promises and I trust in You Lord and You alone.

I praise Your name with thanksgiving.

Amen.
