Today's Prayer

A Prayer Asking For Jesus’ Mercy

Lord Jesus,

There are many times when I feel down and hopeless.

I feel like I want to give up everything.

Sometimes, my life’s circumstances feel crushing.

Jesus, I need Your help.

Have mercy on me. You said to come to You when I am burdened and You will release me from my depression.

Please Lord, I ask You to have mercy on me.

When these moments come help me to overcome these bad feelings.

Please help me to overcome any doubtful thought that the devil throws to my mind.

In these critical moments, the devil takes advantage of me and starts to whisper doubtful thoughts about Your love for me.

He tells me where is Your Lord?

Jesus I know that he is a lier and the father of lies.

But in these bad moments I feel so weak to be able to silence him.

I pray now that You will bring me the comfort I need, Lord.

Help my soul not to grow weary as I await things to change.

Help me when the enemy attempts to steal my joy.

Show me how to seek You more when I want to isolate.

Lord, remind me of Your plan for my life when I feel like I want to give up.

I need you, Lord, and I trust you.

I believe Your word in the Gospel that You will never leave me nor forsake me.

In Your precious name I pray.

Amen.
