Spiritual Blindness Is Against Faith (Mathew 17:20)

“Jesus replied, ”Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Mathew 17:20)

To have faith in Jesus, our Lord and Savior, does not mean that we walk blindly after Him, but it means we have complete trust in Him, to the extent to be fully united with Him.

When we believe in Jesus and choose with our own free will to receive Him and let Him dwell in us in the Holy Sprit, we get united with Him.

We choose to see all what He says and promises with the eyes of faith before even things actually be seen.

We have faith that he can do miracles in our lives and we see it happening before even they physically be seen.

It is not a wishful thinking, but a kind of spiritual sight which trust that Jesus is at work beyond what fear, uncertainty, or appearances suggest. 

This is the kind of faith that moves mountains.

A complete trust that Jesus loves us and we are engraved in His palm. 

Whatever happens He will never forsake us.

But this faith is usually get examined during tough times when it is hard to see with our own reason and understanding, how Jesus will change this bad situation to our good.

With eyes shut with fear at that time, we fail to recognize the Lord’s work by faith.

In these dark and difficult days we need to go to the Lord asking Him to strengthen our faith and not to be shortsighted.

Spiritual sightedness needs developing a strong trust in the Lord.

The Holy Sprit will help us see by faith what He is doing behind the scenes.

We also have to go and read the Lord’s word in the Gospel which helps us to remember that Jesus told us to not be afraid because He is with us till the end of the ages.

It helps us hold firmly to the belief that God is fighting for us even when we do not see it.

His word affirms that He can do the impossible.

He has a way when there is no way.

We ask Him to give us the spiritual ability to recognize His work and discern it before it is seen physically.

Amen.
