Trust In God’s Goodness (Psalm 34:8-10)

“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints!

There is no want to those who fear Him.

The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.” (Psalm 34:8-10)

When crises in our lives rises or we have serious problems that seem unfixable or an illness that gets worse, we often struggle to recognize Christ’s goodness.

We automatically in our old human nature get frustrated and hurt.

At these dark moments and days we need to do five things to restore our trust and confidence in Jesus’ love for us.

First, Hold fast to the word of God that tells us that our Lord is faithful and He is good. We have to remind ourselves with the many times Jesus came to solve our problems when we asked Him in prayers.

We rehearse and remember our good experience with Him, doing miracles in our lives.

Many times He came to save us from the wicked ones, even when we do not know that they are wicked.

He is our Lord who does not sleep or slumber.

We are in the pupil of His eyes and engraved on the palm of His hand.

Second thing we must do is,  to be confident that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us.

Trust in His promises that He will be with us till the end of the ages.

Pray with faith that He will answer our prayers and come quickly to save us.

Third, examine our inner self and heart lest be any sin in us that let the devil, our enemy and accuser,  threw anything bad or evil in us which opened the way for him to enter us and separate us from Jesus’ protection. 

Forth, if we did find anything of the devil’s inside us,  we quickly repent and wash ourselves with the righteous blood of Jesus.

Fifth, reject any idea from the devil that discourages us or makes us sluggish to rise up and quickly take out the sin that separated us from the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who is the source of our lives.

May we all be sober and alert to any evil idea that may separate us from Jesus’ goodness and love and reject it.

May we all trust in Him and have faith that He can do miracles in our lives.

Amen.
