Today's Prayer

Prayer Asking Jesus To Give Us His True Rest

Dear Jesus,

I come to You today cause I am feeling so heavy, carrying on so much burden. 

Some days I carry grief, regret, and shame.

Some other days I feel worried, disappointed, and full of pain emotionally and physically.

I know I was never meant to bear this alone.

You asked me in the Gospel of Mathew, to come to You, who are heavy laden, and You will give me rest.

To take Your yoke upon me and learn from You, for You are gentle and lowly in heart, and I will find rest for my soul.

Yes, Lord, it is my pride and arrogance that make me want to do everything with my own strength. 

I want to feel that I am strong and can do it alone without Your help. 

I come to You now, Lord, asking Your help because I realized that I cannot not do anything successfully without You.

You are my strength. 

I repent all my sins of pride and arrogance. 

I pray that You come and fill me with Your Holy Spirit now and forgive all my sins. 

I sprinkle Your precious blood on all my body and mind for the forgiveness of sins. 

Help me, Lord, to stop picking up what You have already asked me to surrender to You. 

Teach me to leave my burdens at the foot of Your cross and trust that You will heal all my pain and strengthen all my weaknesses.

Please, Lord, replace my anxiety with Your peace.

Replace my shame with grace. 

Replace my grief with hope.

Remind me that You came to my world not to condemn me, but to give me Your love, life, peace, and rest.

Your are a Lord of restoration who can bring beauty from ashes and brokenness.

You can change pain and hurt to Your everlasting joy.

Give me the courage to submit everything to You and have strong faith and trust that You will take good care of me and in You I am victorious. Please, Lord, hear my supplications and prayers.

In Your precious name I pray.

Amen.
