Today's Prayer

Prayer Asking Jesus To Cover Our Imperfection (Galatians 2:20-21)

Dear Jesus, I see myself not perfect in anything. 

It is never easy to me to face the feeling of imperfection and it hurts me a lot.

I sometimes feel like I can somehow reach perfection by fixing myself on my own.

I know that You made me on purpose and that I do not need to compare myself to anyone else because we all are made unique and You made us all on purpose.

Please, Lord, help me not to be misled by the word “perfect” that I hear it all the time at work and from family members.

It makes me in a race which leads me to depression cause perfection has no human standard.

It is only You who are perfect. 

I know that You never ask me to be perfect but just to give You my heart and You will make it pure with Your righteousness.

I know that all I have to do in this process of “perfection” is to submit to Your Holy Spirit and it is His work to sanctify me.

Though I know all that, yet I am still trying to depend on my own strength to be perfect in everything I do.

It is vey upsetting to me trying every day and no success.

Please Lord, help me to remember each day that I surrender to You everything in me and all my work and ask for Your strength to do it in me.

I am perfect in You Lord.

Perfection is one of Your attributes not mine.

To be like You I need to unite with You in the Holy Spirit.

Please, Lord, let me focus on You and obey Your word in the Gospel, and not focus on myself and my abilities.

I want to be like St. Paul saying, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20-21)

Lord, I humbly come to You now to forgive me.

Heal me, Lord, and please let me be matured in Your loving hands.

I give You all the glory and honor, now and forever.

Amen.
