Today's Prayer

A Prayer Against Distractions and Temptations

My Heavenly Father, I confess that these days I find myself not longing to pray or read my Bible as before.

Help me get rid of distractions in my life.

I sit long times on my phone and spend many hours on social media and other entertainment.

Will you help me Father to prioritize You in my life. 

Help me to see the things or people in my life that may be keeping me from growing in my relationship with You.

Strip away my comfort, my pleasure, and my pride, and make me hungry for You and Your righteousness.

Fill me up with Your abundant life.

I want to pursue You, praise You, and read Your word consistently. 

I want to learn Your ways and be able to resist any temptation and lustful desires.

Help me to walk Your path and obey Your commandments.

I want to be filled with Your Holy Spirit and be Your holy temple.

Thank You for leading me in Your righteousness.

In Jesus’ name I pray.

Amen.
