Today's Prayer

A Prayer for Obedience and Faithfulness

My Lord and Savior, I know that you love me and you are trying to penetrate my soul through the Holy Spirit.

I feel you everyday knocking the door of my heart to enter it and give me your forgiveness, peace and love.

I can see and feel how You are moving in my life, but I am having trouble keeping up.

I know You equip me to do Your will, and I am excited about that.

I’m expectant to see and experience this growth You are bringing to me.

Help me, Lord, to trust Your timing and to lean in to You as You take me places I never thought I’d be able to go to in this life.

You’ve given me Your Strength and power over all the devilish works around me.

But I am still limping, one day up and the other down.

I want to fulfill your will in my life and I have no excuse to not do it.

But the resistor and the stubborn, the devil, is standing in front of me and bound my will.

Please release me now, in your Mighty Name, I pray.

Please let my decision this time sincere and steadfast that I resist the devil’s temptation with all my own free will.

Send Your power over me in the Holy Spirit, that I may overcome him this time and taste the taste of victory over him and rejoice in the Holy Spirit.

Fill me with Your Spirit that I will walk in a manner worthy of being Your ambassador.

Amen.
