The Church as a New Creation in Christ

God the Father created the Church through the Son and formed by the Holy Spirit. 

He created the Church in order to gather all His children, to restore His image in them, and to re-establish the relationships of love. 

The Son of God, Jesus Christ, been incarnated and became the Son of Man, in Him the union of created and uncreated was realized. 

He descended to weak humanity to destroy death and give us the hope of resurrection. 

By His incarnation, now He can reside in us through the Holy Spirit. 

The Church is a new creation that appeared in the world with the coming of the God-Man Jesus Christ. 

In it, a New Covenant was entered into between God and His people in Christ. 

So, the new creation is the Body of Christ. 

We read in St. Paul’s second Epistle to the Corinthians, chapter five, verses seventeen to nineteen, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself” (2 Cor. 5:17-19).
