Today's Prayer

A Prayer For Trusting God in Fearful Times

My Lord and my God, I want to trust You with everything, especially scary things that loom in my life, but sometimes I feel it is very hard to not to fear. 

I know that fear is a sin because it means that I do not trust in You and Your power to change all the scary situations I am passing through. 

When I read Your Word, though, I find great comfort when I remember all the wondrous things You have done, yet I return back to accept the fearful thoughts. 

Please help me to always remember that You never slumber or sleep and  You are eternally alert and no matter how many problems I am facing, You are there hearing my supplications and my prayers. 

Thank You Jesus that even as I come to You lacking trust, You fill me. 

I praise You and thank You.

You are my shield in the times of trouble.

I proclaim now that I trust in You and in You alone.

Amen.
