God Will Finish What He Started in You (Philipians 1:6)

“Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philipians1:6)

As Christians, we’re promised that the One who started the work in us will complete it, as the strength to endure comes from Him.

We are never left alone to deal with our problems and worries. 

Jesus promised to help us.

He said He will send us the comforter to comfort and guide us.

Apostle Paul tells us in the book of Philippians “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” ( Philippians 4: 6) 

We sometimes feel that Jesus’ command to not be anxious is humanly impossible; but we must know that all things are possible with God, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible” (Mark 10:27).

We cast our anxieties on God, trust in the strength He supplies. 

In the first Epistle of St. Peter, chapter five, we read, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter5:7).

The only way to fulfill this command is by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. 

Then His peace, surpassing all our understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ. 

Amen
