Jesus Came to Bring Salvation to the World

“If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person.

For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.

There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.

For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. I know that his command leads to eternal life.” (John 12:47-50)

Do we all know that Jesus came to save us not to judge us?

I think most of us know this truth, but in fact most of the time, what is in front of our inner eyes is, God’s punishment with fire that awaits us because we sin.

Some people follow Jesus just because they are afraid from Him and His fire.

Let me tell you that this is Satan’s trick and deceptive notion to take our eyes off the work of salvation that Jesus has given us, and we focus on the lake of fire that the devil convinced us that it is Jesus, who did prepare it for us, to be send to, if we did not obey His words.

The truth is, that the lake of fire is the place of Satan whom he created for himself when he turned away from focusing on God’s eternal life, love and presence.

When he looked at himself, being filled with pride, he found himself there in this place.

He found himself descending from heaven where there is peace, love, light, and the glory of God, to a place full of fire.

Although the ignition of the actual fire gives light, yet this fire is full of darkness, sadness, regret, guilt, pain, and death.

The verses of today are Jesus’ truthful words which we must read carefully.

He said that He did not come to judge the world but to save it.

We have to notice in these verses two things.

First, those who hear Jesus’ words but cannot keep them will not be judged.

This means those who accept His words but cannot carry them out and need time to allow the purification process of the Holy Spirit in them, will not be judged.

But those who will be judged are the ones who reject His words.

They do not want to accept Christ’s commands which will lead them to eternal life.

They have chosen by their own free will, not to have His eternal life.

The second important truth that we have to notice is that, it is not Jesus who will put them under condemnation, but the very words He has spoken will condemn them at the last day.

Why?

For He did not speak on His own, but the Father God who sent Him commanded Him to say all that He has spoken.

And His commands not only save them from condemnation, but also lead them to eternal life.

May we all obey Jesus’ words and abide to them to have His eternal life, love, and peace.

Amen.
