Today's Prayer

Prayer for Humility and Obedience to God

Dear Lord,

I ask You to Help me submit to Your word.

You said I must come to You and learn how You are gentle and lowly in heart.

You promised that if I submitted to You I will find rest for my soul.

I am coming to You now and confessing that I cannot leave everything I am in control of, to You.

I am still self-reliant on my wisdom and intelligence to mange my life though every time I do this I get into trouble.

Please Jesus, help me.

I come to You, in lowliness in mind, asking You to fill me with Your modesty and gentleness.

I want to be in Your image and likeness.

Let me look out not only for my own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Let this mind be in me.

Jesus forgive me.

I sprinkle Your precious blood for the forgiveness of sin over me.

I ask You Lord that You would remove what is bad in me.

Help me to trust You and submit everything to You.

Thank You for hearing me.

I love You Lord.

Please help me to love and serve You better.

I am Yours to change me to be like You.

In Jesus’ name I pray.
